 SomeTimes these serials are not being accepted so here's the fix. You just have to edit the hosts file hence you have to add a line and than you have to try adding serial again and it will work, below is the whole procedure of editing the HOSTS File in Windows. 
Follow the steps to edit the Hosts File .:

1. You simply have to navigate to Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Windows > System32 > Drivers > Etc. > Hosts.

2. Now you have to open the Hosts file in Notepad and than you have to add 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com @ the end of the Hosts file, you can see the below image as an example .:

So remember you have to open Notepad as an Administrator so that you can save the file.
